Assalaamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,
Allah says in the Qur'an,
"Surely there is in (the) Messenger of Allah a good example for you (that is) for those who wish (the mercy) of Allah and (the coming of) the Day of Judgment and he mentions Allah a lot."
(Sura Al-Ahzab, Verse 21).
In a hadith mentioned,
Rasulullah SAW said: "O Allah, bless my caliphs."
The Companions then asked, "O Messenger of Allah, who are your caliphs?"
He replied, "The people who came after me repeated the lessons of my hadiths and sunnah and taught them to people after me.
(Narrated by Ar-Ridha).
Umar bin Abdul Aziz wrote a letter to Abu Bakar Ibn Hazm as follows,
"Notice, what is in the form of the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad then write, because I am actually worried that the science of religion is not studied anymore, and the scholars will die.
Thou shalt not receive anything other than the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad.
Disseminate knowledge and teach people who do not understand so he understands.
